Emily, LVT
Emily was born and raised here in the Seattle area and has been in veterinary medicine for the past 3 years. However, after graduating high school in 2016, she decided to take a different route and went to school for human nursing. After a few semesters, Emily quickly realized that she wanted to become a nurse for animals, rather than humans. In January 2018 Emily enrolled in Pima Medical Institute’s Veterinary Technician program. She graduated in October 2019 and has been working as a licensed veterinary technician ever since. She has worked in general practice and a large specialty hospital, where she got most of her experience in Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine and Neurology. Emily is excited to continue to grow and advance her skills in veterinary ophthalmology here at Animal Vision Center. Outside of work, Emily enjoys live music, traveling, and being outdoors. She also loves spending time with her two Golden Retrievers and her one cat.
